A year in review - a project completed

12 months ago the Random Kiwi Tweeters project began as my way of spreading the word about everyday good folk who enjoy using twitter.  Now 365 days later the project has come to end.  My first goal was to blog every single day of the year however achieving that was beyond what I was capable of.

New Zealand is a land of excellent people which means that we are also a country of excellent tweeters.  Sharing our lives, stories and life happenings one tweet at a time.  From cats and dogs to cafes and restaurants, human resources professionals, farmers, stock cars, shoe shops, mums, dads, grandparents and students.  Twitter abounds with them.

From Invercargill to London, Tauranga to Toronto kiwi's abound all around the world.  And wherever they may be they still share their thoughts and loves of home.  Beaches, jandals, marmite, fush and chups twitter helps to keep on connecting us all.

Not every tweeter on the list made it to the end of 2013.  Some chose to leave twitter for their own reasons and purposes while others physically did not make it.  Random follow #100 was my good friend Jaarna Hoskins who sadly passed away from cancer.  I had the very great fortune of her being able to read the post and also the great privilege of reading it at her funeral.

RKT has been a labour of love and has touched many of those who have been blogged about.  Some people had a post written on their birthday, others at times when they were going through grief and suffering.

No person had any idea that they were going to be blogged about except two.  So for the other 298 persons it was a complete surprise.  Some people were over the moon about it.  Some said nothing. The praise and thanks I have received from everyone has been beyond what I thought it would be.

No labour of love can be completed without the help of friends.  Friends who email you suggestions of people, who encourage you to keep going, who help you overcome your own inadequacies in thinking that it can't be done.  To all those people I have a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation.  The RKT project is as much theirs as it is mine.

The RKT blog is made up of 300 references for very good, interesting and excellent people.  People who have enriched the lives of many of us through interaction, jokes and conversations.  Some of these people I have been able to meet in real life and have had the great joy of seeing the words I wrote about them being proven true.  There are many, many others who I have not met yet I sincerely hope that one day I might just get the opportunity to.

Where to from here?  The RKT project is now officially finished and I will be parking up my  twitter account.  I have spent many hours using twitter this year and while the suggestion to delete my account has risen as a perfect way to finish the year I am choosing not to do that.  What I will be doing is moving my energies and efforts over to Instagram.  I will be sharing my photos onto my twitter account but won't be directly tweeting.  It ain't going to be easy!

Why instagram?  I want to connect with people in a different way.  Twitter is all about the written word, albeit in 140 characters, whereas a picture tells a thousand words.  So my energies for 2014 will all be channeled into #project14.  There will be a tumblr site setup so you can peruse my pics and I aim to post at the very least one photo per day.  Look me up - my Instagram name is @hagmannz.  Same name and same profile photo.  I would love to interact with you over there.

I am proud of what I have achieved through the blog this year.  It has been a burden of love and an outlet that has kept me grounded.  Twitter - thank you.  I am @hagmannz and this has been Random Kiwi Tweeters 2013.

Peace.

Random follow #300 - @PorridgeFish

The @peopleofnz account has unearthed and given a spectacular platform for some of New Zealands best undiscovered twitter talent in 2013.  One of those persons who absolutely excels at the social media game is
@PorridgeFish.  This fine lady has immense talent when it comes to tweeting and hails from the North side of the Harbour Bridge.

She keeps her account slightly mysterious.  But that is a point of both difference as well as appeal.  Knowing but not knowing who someone is allows a sense of security to them the user and helps keep a healthy barrier between what occurs online and what happens in real life.

@PorridgeFish is a very active tweeter.  Being a school teacher and not having 27 children to talk to all day must be hard.  So I presume twitter is filling the gap at the moment (jokes).  But she does tweet a lot, to a lot of different people, about a whole lot of different things.  She has a very broad world view and can pretty much discuss at length any topic you wish to.  For example -

Cooking is one of her face topics -

"Awkward, having to text your dinner guest asking them to bring an onion. How did we have no onions ..?"

Learning new things and expanding her horizons are also topics of interest -

"Have been learning to juggle. I am getting rather good, at least with two. Transition to three not promising. I also suck at skipping now."

She does give away one or two little secrets though.  Here's what I mean -

"Man Thing also in cute mode nap time position, which for a Man Thing consists of planting tiny sleepy kisses on my neck while I try to ipad."

Man Thing is actually the content for some really great tweets.  If there were a # for ManThing tweets it would totally be a thing.

@PorridgeFish is the sort of tweeter you just can't help but like.  She is an incredible cook, loving partner, owner of at least one cat, daughter to a fantastic mum and an incredibly warm, patient and generous person.  All the very best things in life for sure.

This newly crowned teacher is off on a new adventure in 2014 and will no doubt, or I hope at the very least, will share with us some of the ups and downs and bits and bobs of a teacher with an entirely new class of kids who is finding her way.

I know that I will be watching with interest how her year goes and I wish her all the very best for her new adventure.

Random follow #299 - @iofthetyger

There are plenty (like HEAPS) of really nice people who are on twitter.  Random Kiwi Tweeter extraordinaires.  @iofthetyger absolutely fulfills this definition absolutely.  Many people would go so far as to utter the words "what a lovely man he is" and I have to agree with them totally.

Chris is a cricket loving, vocal supporter, full time dad and part time employee for the good folk at Vodafone.  Yes he does work in their social media team but everyone who is a parent knows that just cos you walk out the door in the morning and go to work that your parental duties are done with.  They aren't.

There is a lot to like about Chris and the way he tweets.  He reminds us all of what its like to be a parent sometimes -

"It's 10:30 time to exercise my paternal duty and turn off the mind numbing and pointless kids TV,and switch on the cricket #unpopulardad"
He also shares with us some very funny views on the Christmas holidays

"Its just occurred to me that the increase in local dog walking is probably to do with the increase in mother in law visits,-as I walk my dog"

And it look slike his role with Vodafone also allows him (from time to time) special access to the @NZWarriors rugby league team.  That fact alone is one which causes me to be jealous and wonder what it would take to attain that sort of privilege......

Chris is an amazing tweeter who doesn't take himself or the internet too seriously.  His ability to have a laugh and share items from the brighter side of life on twitter make him really endearing.  With a warm personality and charming sense of humour I am sure Mrs @iofthetyger got it really right when she chose him :)

Chris is a kiwi through and through and his better half is most definitely English.  I have only just added Chris to my follow list and I genuinely wish I had of found him earlier in the year to have had the pleasure of his company.  Oh well, now's a far better time than never.

So @iofthetyger gets the final words in this blog post.  And just like we all do, he shares a very funny insight into the world around us -

"I probably shouldn't,but I make a lot of judgements about new neighbours when I first see their wi-fi networks name".

Random follow #298 - @powderkeig

Bright, bouncy and bubbly.  Three words that describe todays random kiwi tweeter - @powderkeig.  Jane is quite simply one fantastic tweeter.  She shares so many fun and healthy experiences that one can not help but be enamoured by her personality and relatively carefree approach to life.

Whats not to like about a tweeter who has a shared blog/tumblr with her brother?  Especially when that site is titled "Bottled Sunshine".  Phil (Jane's brother) occasionally gets a mention in the odd tweet or two but at the moment he is the companion riding along in what could be the most epic road trip of the summer around historical sites of interest in the South Island.

I love coming across tweets like these -

"Happily lost in Northern Cemetery"

Because you can imagine yourself being right there.  Walking alongside @powderkeig examining the headstones and uncovering the mysteries of yesterday.  And she also has a great wide view of the world -

"#sydneytohobart always fills me with dreadful anticipation
Love the sailing Freak out about the weather"

And that great wide view of the world is not restricted to just geography either.  Jane also has a diverse set of interests, some of which are evidenced in this next tweet -

"My brother, SIL and I talk in weird family language.
Namely movie quotes and obscure or made-up ditties #freaks"

@powderkeig exemplifies the people that this blog was set up to showcase.  Really interesting people, with really interesting lives doing interesting stuff.  All over the country.  Jane is just one of those people.  Her sense of adventure and purpose in life mixed up with the kiwi can do attitude bring the New Zealands way of doing things with social media.

Random follow #297 - @smrtgirl

@smrtgirl totally lives up to her twitter name.  One super intelligent and technical thinking chick Michelle is a super smart techie.  Based out of Wellington this twitter account is not one to be taken lightly.  And I mean that with complete respect.  There aren't that many ladies that I know of that can deliver a swift tweet all about tech that leaves me floundering.

But tech is only one aspect to like about @smrtgirl.  She is also a brilliant engager of people.  What I mean is that she is a very interesting and engaging tweeter who has an ability to capture people's imaginations and make them wonder about.

For example one series of tweets that I am really enjoying at the moment are the t-shirt a day tweets.  Basically Michelle has been wearing a different t-shirt out of her every day of the month.  And there are A LOT of cool t-shirts.

@smrtgirl also has her priorities sorted.  She knows exactly what she wants and isn't afraid to ask for it -

"I just got a phone call from Santa. I asked for lots of beer".

Michelle is also one very popular tweeter.  In a really good way.  You can't go far through her timeline without spotting a familiar name or personality that she is engaging in conversation with.  With around 1,500 followers that probably shouldn't be a surprise but it is really nice to see.

Not only does she have a great taste in tweeters she also has much great taste for other things as well -

"Also, just go to YouTube and type in Benedict Cumberbatch reads … So much delight".

And she doesn't take herself too seriously either.  Which is really refreshing -

"Waiting for a text message. I hate waiting. Hurry up and give me the good news already! #itsallaboutmeandmyneeds".

@smrtgirl brings exactly that to the twitter scene. Smarts.  Along with other things like fun, smiles and an ability to laugh at some of the silliness that occurs in life.  She is not your usual tweeter in some ways nut in others she is.  To be honest if I were to have a sister she would most likely be just like Michelle.  Which would be a really good thing.

Peace.

Random follow #296 - @tobiasbrockie

It took only two tweets to convince me that @tobiasbrockie is worth following.  The first tweet was your standard kind of tweet that you read and then move on.  The second tweet however was one that made me chuckle -

"signature range ginger beer helpfully lists "ginger beer" as one of its ingredients"

There is something to be said about tweeters who can make you laugh.  It takes a certain skill to be able to get 140 characters to work so well as to make you chuckle or LOL.  Tobias has the gift.

"when people say they're anti-PC, they mean they're against
socialised healthcare in form of pokemon centres"

@tobiasbrockie is yet another tweeter who comes at you in two ways -
  1. Straight out of Wellington
  2. He's on the younger end of the twitter age scale
Youth is where its at if you're looking for light hearted, fresh, a different perspective and someone who isn't swayed so easily by most twitter trends.  Tobias is intentionally witty and could very well be the modern day social media equivalent of Spike Milligan.  (That is praise not given lightly).

What's not to like about tweets like these -

"real life beats the shit out of love actually bc in real life
there's a donut king at the airport, love actually just has sad emma thompson"

This twitter account is one continuous series of absolutely brilliant one liners with a few conversations thrown in along the way to prove Tobias is both human and exceptionally funny.  In my opinion this guy really could be a stand up comedian or the replacement for either of the Flight Of The Concords guys if they ever choose to retire.

I won't say too much more because all his tweets speak for themselves.  You'll either fall in love with them straight away or you'll take a couple of days and then fall in love with them.  Either way this is one twitter account worth following for its hilarity alone.  Everything else is the jam on the donut.

Random follow #294 - @LeithAitken

People with a passion, persistence and pride in what they do make a difference in the world.  For todays person their passion is for cinema.  Not just going along and partaking in cinema but writing reviews, critiquing with skill and an expert eye and then telling the world all bout how good, bad or ugly those films may have been.

@LeithAitken is a movie loving, cat fanatic whose tweets are full of interesting tantalising tidbits and mouth watering morsels of film news.  Leith is not one to hold back an opinion and fair enough too.  With 138 movie reviews penned this year there will be no shortage of good and bad - so why not tell it like it is?

As far as tweeting goes @LeithAitken keeps it spicy.  I was most impressed to see tweets going out to one of my all time long term follows @sakura_59 who is also has a wealth and depth of knowledge of film that is almost unsurpassed.  These two tweeters don't trifle around with who is wearing what on the red carpet.  rather the focus is on the depth of narrative, quality of cinematography and what the story is really portraying.

Being sharp of wit and quick to think make for a great tweeter -

"Duck Dynasty sounds like the name of a Looney Tunes cartoon, not the title of a reality television series about a bunch of lunatics."

Also, seeing the possibilities and options in alternative situations is always amusing -

"If I didn't think she'd pull it off and destroy it, I'd so attach a GPS to my sister's cat just to see where it goes every day."

And if any single tweet is to sum up @LeithAitken then it is this one -

"Can we stop with the "worst of 2013" lists, please? Let's just acknowledge the films that deserve it and not promote hate watching."

If you are looking for an interesting tweeter who will add depth to your timeline with the cinema in mind then this is the account for you.  Just be aware that Leith can be quite talkative (which I consider to be a really GOOD thing) and is not afraid to tell it like it is (again a good thing).

With a new year quickly approaching there will be plenty of opportunities to savour some cinema goodness.   So get ahead of the game, follow @LeithAitken and that way you'll be sure to get all the good movies all the time.

Random follow #293 - @LadyNgaire and @BookieMonsterNZ

Book worms, book people, book lovers.  These are the people that keep the mind inspired, the ideas flowing and unleash creativity and knowledge where there is a void of ignorance.  @LadyNgaire is the brains and personality behind the ever increasingly popular twitter account of @BookieMonsterNZ.  Its nice that she has two accounts because sometimes you really, really, really want to tweet something but you just don't have the right medium to do so.  These two accounts allows Ngaire to do just that.

So what are the different appeals to these accounts?

Lady Ngaire.  Fun, easy going, new to twitter.  This account is hot off the twitter account making machine and I am betting a dollar or two that over time it will become something of an institution in the social media world.  So for this account it is very much - watch this space and follow now so that you can claim to be an early follower when she becomes really famous.

Bookie Monster.  This account is actually well on its way to be legendary.  With so many followers and tweets posted this account is fantastic.  This has the ultimate blend of books, cats along with a whole lot of bits and bobs about absolutely anything and everything under the sun.

Here are a few things I know -

  1. Ngaire is really nice.  Like REALLY nice --> "Public transporting it home. The driver on the 22 bus is lovely."
  2. The tension, the suspense --> "#12daysofWake Day 7. I finished. Parsing. Quite sad. Review to come..."
  3. She is really amusing --> "Those four magic words every facial hair lover wants to read: "willie apiata is following you"
  4. As much as she likes to real she also likes to write --> "Have got two great blog ideas and three ok ones. Career path sorted then"
One terrific lady from Te Aroha.  Two terrific twitter accounts.  Its not so much a choice as to which one to follow.  The choice is more when will you follow them?

Random follow #292 - @SalSallySarah

@SalSallySarah is a lady who gives life her all.  Living on the other side of the world, in a city that is uneasy at the best of times tells me this mum is a person with a sense of adventure and purpose in life.  Sal is a lovely and bubbly lady whose smile is electric and catchy.

While not completely new to the twitter scene she is still relatively fresh.  1,500 tweets is still in the vicinity of being labeled a spring chicken (in social media terms).  What I do love about her account is that we both follow some of the very best tweeters in New Zealand today.

And in case you don't take the time to read her twitter bio it one of the more honest one's online today.  It reads like this - " talker of a load of shite".  I don't believe this for a second based on what I have read in her tweets.  Here a few little insights into her life.

Sal has all the same issues to deal with that most modern women do -

"Lets have a beer he says. To celebrate the christmas holidays he says.
Off to land of nod he goes without a word...."

Being a mum ain't easy -

"Despite my amazing breakfast the kid wants ham! I swear shes gonna turn into a ham sambo!"

Some days its the little things that count the most -

"Cup o the finest tea and a slice of victoria sponge!
Is there a better way to finish a Monday! #getinmybelly"

@SalSallySarah is a really great twitter sort of friend.  If you ever need her you just tweet and she will reply.  And if you've got nothing to say to each other it doesn't actually matter.  Why?  Because you can pick up your conversation with her wherever you left off and it will be east to do.

To conclude Sal is a really nice person who talks a lot, tweets a little bit less and is funny and full of life.  She wears a smile a mile wide that is totally infectious.  And she is on twitter.  What else could you want when looking for someone to follow?

Random follow #291 - @_jjw_

Intelligent, funny, sexy and entrepreneurial.  Three of these words I use with ease to describe @_jjw_.  Mr Wood is a tweeter of both substance and style.  Coming at you out of Wellington Jackson tweets with great clarity and intellectual agility a lot like the NZ Army.  He does a great job of keeping the peace through interacting with others and yet intellectual firepower that he can pull out at any time if needed.  (Which to be fair is not all that often).

@_jjw_ is also an incredibly nice guy who does great work for @nzdrug.  That is he works alongside the good folk at the Drug Foundation to try and prevent every day people from the risks and harms that drugs and alcohol can cause.  And this is really cool because twitter and social media isn't all about him.  It is actually about helping others in a positive and constructive way.

So how do I know those first four traits are actually true.  By his tweets if course -

Mr Intelligence

"What's international best practise for figuring out international best practise?"

Besides this Mr Wood tweets quite a few journalists and other persons that both make the news and report on it as well.  That in itself does not make him intelligent but the fact that he interviews, writes stories and publishes articles about people in the news does testify to the fact that he is.

An excellent sense of humour

"Len has to wear a head mounted web cam streaming video at all times to ensure he's not up to mischief #LenBrownCensures"

Being that @_jjw_ gets to interact with persons in the realm of both local and national politics he is more than able to pass a quip or two about the events of the day.  And humor is often about timing.  So with political jokes the person delivering them needs to have their finger on the pulse.  Which is just what Mr Wood does.

Mr Sexy - I can't comment directly on this but I can say he is currently sporting one heck of a beard.  Which according to some ladies in my timeline is a total turn on.  You'll need to make up your own mind about this fact.

The rise of the entrepreneur

"Starting a new business: will write your twitter bio for $1."

Working in social media (for a majority of us) doesn't pay the bills.  In fact if doesn't pay anything.  What this means is that bright sparks like @_jjw_ go looking for opportunities to make a quick buck or two by providing a friendly, helpful service to fellow tweeters.  If you can spare a fellow tweeter a dollar and have him write you an absolutely spiffing twitter bio then everyone will win.

(Editors note - the whole twitter bio writing thing is a joke.  Although I have it from a reliable source $7 has been raised from this venture.  So there is money to be made in social media).

Now that we are heading into the final few weeks on 2013 now is a really good time to start following people who will add some colour and interest to your timeline.  @_jjw_ is one person who if you follow him now and continue to do so in 2014 then you won't be disappointed.  Merry Christmas.

Random follow #290 - @genkibeth

There is no secret sauce when it comes to be a great tweeter.  It all comes down to being interactive, being engaging, tweeting about interesting stuff and talking to people.  Thats all there is to it.  @genkibeth does each of these and does them well.  Actually she does them more than just well - she does them excellently.

Beth is a Wellingtonian with taste.  Taste for food and flair.  And helping others to find food with flair as well.  Coffee, ginger crunch and many many other delightful treats await you should you peruse her tweets.  Well those things and many more.  Such as -

"Why do people say "Man power" when "People Power" just sounds better. Consonance man, it's writing101"

Its always good when someone makes it clear about where they stand on an issue but are able to do it in such a way that you're left with a smile on your face.  Beth is quite good at that and I imagine that in real life she really knows how to string people along with the very interesting approach to life that she has -

"I've been vetoed against living in a big commune with my friends, but how the else will I ever own a house, big veggie garden and a goat?"

And as we quickly approach the end of the year there is a slice of reality that we are all having to deal with at the moment -

"Who ever called this time of year the "wind down to Christmas" clearly NEVER HAD A DAY JOB."

Beth does so much more than just tweet like this though.  She also has some really great pictures and lots of really great suggestions that relate back to one of her fave topics - food.  Not just food for foods sake but the recommending of some of the finest eateries, coffee suppliers and all the other fineries of life.

@genkibeth is a perfect example of your really great tweeter.  She doesn't give too much away, jumps in and out of conversations with ease and over all is a really fun person.  If you're looking for someone normal to follow then you won't go wrong by hitting the follow button for Beth.

Random follow #289 - @AshPookie

Its a hat trick ladies and gentlemen!  Three!  Yes three - brand new comers to twitter in three Random Kiwi Tweeters posts in three days!  I wish to introduce to you -

THE VERY LOVELY
THE VERY AMAZING
THE MOST FUN YOU'LL EVER HAVE -

@AshPookie

Ash is a very fine lady whom I had the great pleasure of tweeting when we crossed paths while discussing this years @nzsecretsanta.  With a total number of tweets that is less than 50 she is most definitely very new to the twitter scene.  And yet she has found her feet quickly and with great ease.

This very eccentric and full of life young woman ticks all the right boxes.  Rainbows, tattoos and hard house.  What else could you ever ask for in a person?  Just so you know Ash is not a prolific tweeter.  She jumps in and posts a comment every now and then as the mood leads her to.  So you may not see her round all that much but when you do - it will make you smile.

So what can we ascertain about her from her tweets?  Well she's honest -->

"F* me days - went for my first run in a few months - Gonna feel the burn tomorrow baby"

She loves to party -->

"#OurHouseFestival Soooo looking forward to this >_<"

And she has damn fine taste in music -->

"Pure Bliss for ya ear-hole - Get in there - "Free Yourself" ~ Liquid Drum & Bass Mix.: http://youtu.be/UQJlx0ffLYo via @youtube"

Thats all I know about @AshPookie so far.  She completes a hat trick of fantastic and fresh tweeters who make social media fun and real for the rest of us who engage in twitter.  Go on and give them a follow.  It will freshen up your timeline and give the new one's amongst us some confidence that they too are contributing and making a difference.

Random follow #288 - @v8cortinagirl

Just putting it out there - the Cortina was and still is - a magnificent car.  Having owned one I can attest just how great they are to drive.  Smooth, silent and incredibly reliable.  Also you could pretty much fit everyone and everything into a Cortina - they were designed for families.

@v8cortinagirl embodies a number of these traits and qualities in the way that she approaches life and also social media.  She is smooth, reliable and all about the family.  Qualities that make for an all round excellent person.

Karen is really new to the whole twitter scene and yet has managed to make a really good start.  And in being new there is a real niceness and freshness about what she says and thinks.  So far in her first sub 100 tweets she has expressed lots of encouragement, lovely words and a positive outlook on life.

Karen is a beach type girl.  Being from the beautiful Hibiscus Coast life is a little more laid back up those ways.  Its like living in Auckland but still being far enough away to have the coastal lifestyle.  It really is the best of both worlds.

So here are a couple of interesting things about Karen -

1.  She is about the same age as most of the people I know and follow on twitter.  So that means all the teenie boy band  tweets will continue but they won't be coming from her.  Cos she has fantastic taste -

"Listening to #Davedobbyn right now along with some other 80's music, he's such a great talent. #reminiscing #whaling #th'dudes"

2.  @v8cortinagirl enjoys the finer things in life and knows how to kick back and just take it easy.

"Sitting on the deck enjoying the summer sun, glass of wine in hand...then the neighbours start up their chainsaw. #fail #noisyneighbours"

3.  Her priorities are in the right place.  Celebrating Christmas, family and food.

"Meri kirihimete everyone. 13 sleeps to go!"

Not only those things - there are also a few things I think we will get treated to in time.  Things like - cars, beach photos and more genuine happiness.

So what little I know of @v8cortinagirl is that she is really polite. very pretty, loves family and really is a truly genuine person.  Long may these qualities last and may others follow her example and be inspired by her.

Random follow #287 - @Bec5tar

When it comes to social media some people make a much bigger impact on you than others.  There are also some people whose tweets you read and you enjoy and you just assume that they must be famous  or popular or at least have heaps of followers.

@Bec5tar completely breaks the moule of some of those stereotypes.  Not the one's about making an impact on people but the one about having to be popular to make a difference.  Bec is a fun and amazing tweeter whose twitter bio just on its own is enough to make me sit up and take notice.  It reads a little something like this - '

"Reminder to self: DREAM BIG!!!!"

So Bec is someone who not only seeks inspiration but also inspires others.  She is quietly making her towards breaking through the 1,000 tweet mark but it appears that she is no hurry.  And why would she be?  This is one account that ranks quality over quantity every time.

@Bec5tar is a lovely lady who often has pleasant and uplifting things to share with people.  Definitely a half glass full kind of lady who can see the silver lining of every dark cloud.  Such as -

"Mr's Nana's service is this arvo. She would've been 93 on the 23rd. 7 of us will be there. Looking forward to the family gathering #special"

And the stories she shares are uplifting and can help you look and think a little differently about different situations you may be facing -

"Being between contracts means I have better non-work stories. Oftentimes, they are the best, but really all spectrums of life are stories. X"

And she also has an ability to be able to not take things too seriously and have a laugh at life -

"Had pedicure at one of those arcade shops. Girl was laughing to herself. Smoothing my feet with the blade was like peeling potatoes #shesaid"

@Bec5tar is the sort of tweeter that social media needs more of.  Lovely, interesting, positive, upbeat and happy to be happy.  All qualities each and every one of us can and should strive to live out more and more in our own real life lives.

Random follow #286 - @Roleta06

fresh

not previously known or used; new or different.

(of food) recently made or obtained; not tinned, frozen, or otherwise preserved.
adverb
  1. 1.

Rocking out a total of 26 tweets to date is one of the freshest characters on twitter today - @Roleta06.  With plenty of follows and a handful of followers Tanya is pretty new to the twitter social scene.  Its that exact newness that makes her so attractive as a tweeter because what you see is what you get.

Here's what I mean by fresh -

"I am filled with a dazzled energy that borders on excessive Zeal!! If you want some let me know..." ;) xo"

You can feel her zest for life oozing through her tweets.  There is an enthusiasm for life that is infectious and catchy.  But it doesn't finish there -

"You should really ask yourself...Am I too SEXY? lol xoxo".

I love tweets like these because they are so innocent and without any sort of bent.  @Roleta06 just says it how it is with a smile on her face and an intention to make you laugh.  And she is even in this years round of @nzsecretsanta too -

"I'm at work, dipping my superwine biscuit into my cup of tea...thinking "who has my name?"...all in the name of fairness..."

I think that Secret Santa was actually her reason for joining twitter in the first place so it's wins all round for everyone really.

So if you're looking for someone - new, fresh, young, enthusiastic, encouraging and all round fun then you've found her in @Roleta06.  Peace.
